VMware pushes the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Besides all the other benefits, I think this is the one that will make this solution take off:
Unlike other server-based solutions that are limited in their ability to provide a complete desktop experience or are limited to specific architectures, VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure includes full PC environments that are familiar to end users and not limited by hardware or location.
Too many people have custom apps that just won't run in a traditional "terminal server" environment.
